Second Grade Gardeners

Our second graders have started their own plants from seeds.  Each child was given several packets of flower seeds to make a selection. Upon making their selection, they then picked a container, placed soil in it and their seed selection then more soil. They placed their container on a lid for drainage, placed it on the windowsill for the sun and finally watered it.  To date we are starting to see little seedlings begin to sprout.

Reading is Cool:

The third graders were busy reading this semester.  There is a prize for the first student who reads six books this semester.Last semesters winner was Mary Jane Walker who read five books.  Way to go Mary Jane!  We are very proud of all the students!
